What is the Sydney Law Careers Fair?

The Sydney Law Careers Fair is a one day careers fair targeting penultimate and final year law students, particularly those interested in obtaining a Summer Clerkship or Graduate employment.

This event is promoted to current law students and recent law graduates from every university in Australia.

This is a fantastic opportunity for law students to meet and speak with potential future employers from Australia’s leading law firms, government departments, and educational institutions.

The Sydney Law Careers Fair will run in conjunction with The Big Meet Careers fair, a premium event that will feature employers from all industries within Australia.

Why Exhibit?

The Sydney Law Careers Fair provides the perfect solution for exhibitors wishing to maximise their exposure to potential candidates whilst minimising their costs. If you have limited time, resources or budget, the Sydney Law Careers Fair is the ideal way to reach law students from all universities in one day.

The facilitators of the fair put in place specific, colour-coded student name-tags to enable employers to identify the university and year of study for each student.

Exhibitor Package: Walled Display Booth

Our exhibitor package is a Walled Display Booth. Each exhibitor will be provided with the following inclusions:

  • Walled booth space with 2 or 3 walls (depending on where you booth is located)
  • Exhibition space approximately 3 metres wide by 3 metres deep 
  • Trestle table, table cloth and 2 chairs for each exhibitor.
  • Connection to a power supply.
  • Catering for up to 5 of the exhibitor's staff.

Exhibitors will need to bring their own display banner(s) and promotional literature.

If you want to have a larger display area then you can purchase 2 or 3 "Space Only" packages.

The Walled Display Booth includes fascia signs displaying the exhibitor's name and carpeted walls which are velcro compatible.

Sponsorship Packages

There will be an opportunity for exhibitors to add value to their exhibition space by investing in a range of sponsorship packages.

These sponsorship packages will be sold separately at a later date.

FAQ's

Is the physical event happening in the current COVID-19 climate? 

Given these events are being held in March 2021, we are assuming that the Sydney Law Fair will be a face to face event and we will be proceeding with event plans as usual. We will of course be communicating closely with the venue and ensuring that all COVID-19 safe regulations and relevant government policies, are being followed. 

When will we receive more detailed information? 

A detailed Logistics document will be sent out to all registered exhibitors in late January/Early February 2021. We usually send this out prior to the New Year, however, we will send this later to ensure that it contains the most relevant and up to date information regarding the COVID-19 policies.  This document will outline further information relating to each event. Details such as: The Event Timetable, Details on Stall inclusions, Catering, Delivery Instructions, will be outlined in this document. 

What happens if the event is cancelled due to COVID-19? 

If we are unable to proceed with a face to face event, due to venue or government restrictions, exhibitors will be able to obtain a full refund or a rollover of their booking fee to 2022. 

Will we receive a refund if we decide to cancel our attendance in the lead up to the event? 

The AAGE abides by the ACCC Australian Consumer Law refund policy. No refunds will be given for cancellations if the event proceeds. This applies to all registrations received and is enforced irrespective of if an invoice has been raised or not, or if an invoice remains paid or unpaid.
