What happens after your candidate says “yes”? The time between offer acceptance and start date is an important window – not just for candidate engagement, but for planning a smooth and meaningful transition into your graduate program.

Join us for a virtual roundtable discussion designed for early careers professionals who want to strengthen their pre-onboarding experience, reimagine their graduate transition to work activities and ensure key internal stakeholders are aligned throughout the journey.

This interactive session will be a chance to:

Hear insights from AAGE surveys where graduates share feedback on employer pre-onboarding activities
Share strategies that keep future grads warm, connected and excited about joining your organisation
Explore how to use the post-offer period to refine your onboarding and development plans
Learn how others in the early careers space bring stakeholders into the conversation and make them active participants in candidate care.

Bring your questions, insights and ideas from your own programs – this session is about peer-to-peer learning, real-world examples and sparking fresh thinking.

Graduate Recruitment and Development Fundamentals - Seminar for Practitioners - Sydney (Employers Only) (30 Jun 2026)

This seminar will provide participants with an overview of best practice in the fundamentals of graduate recruitment and development. The Practitioner Seminar is targeted at those who are relatively new to the graduate recruitment industry (0-2 years) and is an ideal seminar for people who have just started in early careers or people who have some experience but wish to check if they are on the right path.

This seminar will cover a best-practice approach to setting up and running a graduate recruitment function. Areas covered will include budgeting, marketing, selection, development and reporting, including:

Establishing your program (structure and purpose)
Attraction (attraction strategies and marketing channels)
Assessment and selection (setting up your selection process and mechanisms for identifying and assessing competencies)
Graduate onboarding and development programs (design and structure of graduate development programs)
Reporting and useful information (an overview of the various sources of help and information available to AAGE members).

There will also be an opportunity for interactive discussion with your peers during the session.

Building the Early Careers Talent Pipeline - Employer Forum - Sydney (Employers Only) (30 Jun 2026)

This forum is designed for experienced early careers recruiters, campus engagement specialists and program leads who are looking to strengthen and evolve their early talent strategies. It will explore how organisations can identify and engage promising talent earlier in the student journey - including before final year - through effective outreach, partnership models and pipeline-building approaches.

Bringing together employer members and early careers leaders, the session will create space to share current practice, discuss future ambitions and examine how early career programs can be elevated to better support long-term talent identification, access and conversion. Attendees will leave with ideas for identifying talent earlier, building stronger student pipelines and shaping more strategic early career programs.

Key themes include:

Programs for pre-penultimate cohorts (work experience, cadetships, traineeships, apprenticeships, WIL, internships, clerkships)
Engagement through events and marketing
Diversity and inclusion in early identification
Partnerships with high schools, governing bodies, universities and third-party providers.

The session will be structured around information sharing, discussion and practical action planning and will consider opportunities for shared practice, collaboration and advocacy across the sector.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By submitting your registration, you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

1. You will receive an automated invoice which is payable by the EARLIER of:

30 days from the date of the invoice; or
Tuesday 10th November 2026, the day before the date of the conference. If the invoice is not paid within this timeframe, the AAGE reserves the right to cancel the booking or to remove the eligibility for any discounted prices.

2. The AAGE abides by the ACCC Australian Consumer Law refund policy. No refunds, rollovers or credits will be given for cancellations under any circumstances. This applies to all registrations received and is enforced irrespective of if an invoice has been raised or not, or if an invoice remains paid or unpaid.

3. All AAGE event attendees must abide by the AAGE's Code of Conduct.

Free Full Conference Pass Offer

1. Eligibility

This offer applies when an organisation purchases four (4) Full Conference Passes for the 2026 AAGE Conference.
Upon purchase of the four Full Conference Passes, the organisation will receive one (1) additional Full Conference Pass free of charge.

2. Free Pass Conditions

The complimentary Full Conference Pass must be allocated to a member of staff from the same organisation that purchased the initial four passes.
The free pass is not transferable to another organisation, individual outside the organisation, or for any form of credit or refund.

3. Usage Restrictions

The free Full Conference Pass is valid only for the 2026 AAGE Conference and cannot be carried forward for any future events.
The pass cannot be exchanged for monetary value, discounts or other benefits.

4. Cancellation Policy

No refunds or credits will be issued for the complimentary pass under any circumstances.

5. General Terms

All delegate passes, including the complimentary pass, are subject to the standard conference registration terms and conditions.

We will be managing numbers in and out of the room during this time in an effort to create a more comfortable environment for those attending. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to inclusivity and ensuring that all students have the opportunity to connect with exhibitors in a setting that suits their needs.

Following this hour, The Big Meet will open to all other students who have registered to attend. Further information will be provided to employers in the coming months about the Sensory Reduced Hour however please let us know if you have any questions prior to booking your space.
